Rev Dr Carver L Anderson

Cofounder of the Bringing Hope Charity

I am delighted to offer this testimonial in support of Theodore Wiggan, the driving force behind Skills Training and Recruitment Specialist CIC/Ltd (S.T.A.R.S).

As a co-founder of Bringing Hope Charity, we have dedicated ourselves to serving local communities and prisons for the past two decades. Our efforts have earned us a solid reputation for tackling the root causes of social exclusion, crime, and violence.

It was during our work within a local prison a decade ago that we first encountered Theodore (Theo) during his time behind bars.

Engaging in a personal development course we facilitated, Theo showcased remarkable leadership, strategic thinking, creativity, mediation skills, and a reflective mindset. His talents didn’t go unnoticed, as he became actively involved in discussions with senior prison management, exploring ways to prevent conflicts and improve prisoner-staff relationships. We were thrilled to have Theo join us in delivering subsequent 12-week courses as part of the Bringing Hope team.

Since his time in prison and subsequent release, Theo has remained steadfast in his commitment to supporting young people on a path away from crime, as well as educating professionals on the intricacies of street life and its associated challenges. His contributions were recognized when he served as a keynote speaker at the House of Lords in 2023 during the launch of the Good Faith Partnership Report, “A Heart for Justice: Faith & the Prison System.”

This testimonial underscores Theo’s wealth of skills, gifts, and lived experiences, providing him with a profound understanding of the complexities within the criminal justice system. Furthermore, his dedication to offering culturally competent solutions is commendable. I wholeheartedly endorse Theo’s achievements and ongoing endeavors.
