Since joining us in the summer of 2022, Theo has proven to be an invaluable member of Unlocked Graduates.
Serving as an Associate Trainer during our Summer Institutes in both 2022 and 2023, Theo has collaborated closely with our experienced Summer Trainers and Mentoring Prison Officers to deliver sessions and provide support to our participants throughout their training. His contributions have significantly enhanced these sessions, earning praise for his adept facilitation of group discussions, valuable insights shared in the classroom, and engaging delivery style.
Theo’s dedication to personal growth is evident as he consistently pushes beyond his comfort zone, including delivering impactful speeches to audiences of over 100 people. His speech at our graduation ceremony in October 2022 moved one attendee so deeply that it prompted her to explore ways her company could better support individuals with lived experience.
Another area where Theo shines is in our candid chat cafes, a vital component of our extracurricular offerings during Summer Institute. These sessions provide participants with the opportunity for candid discussions with staff who have lived experience.
